Anderson Precision Auto Pro - Vehicle Maintenance Tips

The purchase of a new vehicle is often one of the biggest investments, next to a home, that we will make in our lifetime. The best way to protect that investment and keep it running in tip-top shape is to keep up with preventative maintenance tasks. It's cheaper in the long run to have regular fluid flushes, and other components such as drive belts, spark plugs, shocks & struts replaced at the recommended intervals, than to wait for something to break or fail.

For example, automatic transmissions have many moving pieces that rely on clean transmission fluid to operate correctly. If the fluid is too dirty, or if the fluid is too old, your transmission may not work properly. Your best defence in keeping it in good condition is to have the transmission fluid flushed every 50,000km and where applicable, replace the transmission filter every 100,000km.

We like to brag about our amazing customers and I'd just like to share a great idea a few have shared with us. When the regular car payments are no longer required, because you've paid off the car loan, continue to set aside that loan payment by moving it to a separate bank account. One of our customers has done this since the start and always has funds set aside to pay for her insurance, maintenance, and when they crop up, repairs on her vehicle. That's so smart and we wish we had thought of that.

So when we recommend other services after we inspect your vehicle, it's because we want to help keep your vehicle in great shape, keep it reliable, and most importantly, keep it (and it's occupants) safe.
